Is this S7 deal any good please?
Hi :-)
I'm currently with Three on their £23pm unlimited data & quite a few minutes/texts.
Ive been with them for nearly 3 years & ive never had a problem with incorrect bills etc.
I've got a samsung S3 which has decided yo not start up anymore, but i have been due to upgrade for quite a few months. So im now on the look out for another contract deal as unfortunately i can't afford to pay out right atm.
I use quite a bit of data being as i don't have a laptop. i think i probably use at least 4gb a month.
I've found a Vodafone deal via the Carphone Warehouse for the S7 32gb. Which is £24pm for 6gb, plus unlimited calls & texts. Sorry im not able to post a link being as im a new member
But, im very reluctant to go with Vodafone after ive read quite a lot of peoples complaints. So is that deal just too good to be true please? Btw, if it isn't then ive only got till 12 mid day tomorrow to decide.
Also, being as i have a S3 i would be more than happy to have the S6, especially being as the camera is said to be very good. But obviously if i could opt for the S7 then that would be even better, even more so with it being the latest model, as i'd then have more certainty that it would still be good enough to keep in 2 years time & save money by switching to a sim only deal.
Any opions would be much appreciated

It sounds very cheap to me for what it is. Are you sure there's not an upfront cost for the phone as well? Also, it may well be a cashback deal - which is fine if you know exactly what you're doing. It could also be a mistake on their website - in which case they wouldn't honour it. You would be dealing with two of the worse companies in the business. However, if the deal does suit you and you know exactly what's involved it would be worth grabbing - unless someone else can offer anything better on here.0

Hello Mobilejunkie :-)
Sorry i forgot to add that there's also a £60 charge for the phone. It doesn't mention anything about cashback.
There's also a similar offer on moneysupermarket, which states it'll cost £24pm through Vodafone, for 6gb, & unlimited texts/calls. The phone costs £50, but you get an instant £10 phone discount.
Because like you say, it seems like i would be taking a big risk, there is another Black Friday offer on moneysupermarket. That is for the S7 through Mobiles . co . uk. Via O2. That's £26.50pm for 3gb & unlimited texts/calls. The phone costs £150 but you get an instant £100 voucher to use at checkout, which brings the upfront phone cost to £50. Apologies again for no links.
Im not completely happy with having less data, but being as i did have a 2 year contract with mobiles . co . uk years ago & they were no trouble, maybe that is also an option for the S7?
Just wanting to have a few concrete options to throw at three incase they don't play ball.
Thank you again! :-)0 -
Mobiles.co is CPW. It is usually a lot cheaper than CPW. What you actually mean is that it's with O2 via CPW - not the other way round. In any case, Mneysupermarket makes money for advsersing it by sending you there. If you do want to do it, clear the cookies and join/go via Topcashback - though I have found that cashback sites nowadays often fail to pay up. Still, a chance of cashback for the same deal rather than donating it to a website is more sensible.
Also check other packages on there (mobiles.co) for the sam phone; often there are many which may suit you better - or alternative deals with different colour or so-called "refurbished" phones.0 -
Ah i see! Thank you.
Hopefully they'll be better deals then that vodafone option & even better if three was to match it. Btw, are phonesdirect . co . uk & mobilephonesdirect. uk, any good please?0 -
I'm not aware of the first - I suspect you have the name wrong or have confused it with the second.
Mobilephonesdirect is excellent when paying cashback (fast - like lightening) and reliable, but ordering can be extremely inefficient. They have best cashback deals for the last couple of years, but are slightly riskier than CPW for cashback. I haven't used CPW for more than 2 years, but have used this company several times for myself and others I order for.0 -
Ok, Thank you
Btw, ive rang Three a few times & the best s7 deal, so far anyway, that they can offer me is £29.75pm after having a £100 line rental discount. That includes 4gb & unlimited texts/calls. They also said that if my partner was to join Three then they'd offer the same deal. How does that sound please?
I also asked whats the best deal for the s6 & they said we'd both get the same deal for £27pm after discount.
I'd ideally prefer the contract to be no more than £25pm being as between us it would already be £50pm, where as obviously the 2 £29pm deals would bring it to £60pm, which is quite a chunk.
Has anyone else managed to get a better deal for the S7 please? even though my offer is apparently the best they can do.
Thanks again :-)0 -
The s7 and S6 are micro upgrades from the S5.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

Hello Mark,
Do you mean that there isn't that much difference in them compared with the S5? I did read one review that said the S5 sometimes has problems with focusing? Also, it seems very difficult to get hold of it now, even mlre so new. But i do like the S5, especially with it's removable battery & SD card, but again that isn't a deal breaker, just nice to have those extra options.
I'm just trying to make sure i get at least the same spec camera as my S3, but also to not get too hung up on the latest phones apparent capabilites, when at the end of the day i don't want to sign up to something which just isn't affordable, plus there's always the option of buying a camera. But then a phone with a good camera is more practical in the sense that it would always be with me, so it's swings & roundabouts.0 -
Three sure are hard work! After a few more calls they will not lower their latest S7 deal. They don't even seem that keen on making the S6 anymore tempting.
So, i then asked if there was any S5 phones left & unfortunately they said no.
Because i do really like the sound of the S5 ive had a look on QuickMobileFix & their prices seem ok. Their TrustPilot reviews sound good, but obviously it would be nice to hear what others have experienced with that company?, being as i am worried about the risks of buying a refurbished phone.
Thank you again :-)0
