Sorry if I didn't explain it properly, all Suffolk CC workers get sent a booklet called 'Lifestyle' I think. It has a unique number to that person so you would have to know a teacher or council worker so they could phone for you.

:( Half the forum have been on tender hooks waiting for than phone no:

Actually I think they might have been celebrating the store revamp as they had face painting and free baseball caps etc.

Is there a new one in your area?

  • In Focus it's over 60 on any day of the week. DH has a 10% off card, but we use it and pay with my C/C (I'm just over 50) - never been asked or refused ever...... I think the assistants have as much trouble telling how old we all are - as publicans do with the youngsters under 18!

B&Q Wed, over 60 they dont seem to check very thoroughly, though.

At the B&Q nearest me, when I have gone with my parents on two occasions they have checked and my Dad had to pay on his card instead of me, twice. He was not happy even though I gave him the money instantly both times!!

I suppose the checking is down to the cashier or the store managers enforcement of it.

Go to a young assistant on the till. They think everyone over about 40 is a pensioner.
