Still very cold and bright here, the thermometer read -2 when I let Ly1a out first thing.Took her to the park and it was frozen-she gets reallly giddy in the snow & frost, rolling over aand over and rubbing her chin along the ground.Luckily the pavements werent too wet but it was a bit slippy, not great when you have a 10stone dog at the end of the lead

I know i'm not very good with dogs, but I have always had a vision of your Lay1a as a smallish dog. I guess she isn't?!

Plans upside down but in a nice way.

Lunch at home with the leftover soup and cabbage salad.

Busted the budget between w8rose and DD work food delivery where I get 30% discount (see sig) but hey I am so unrepentant. A lot of it is stock-up, including 1.5Kg Marmite, sorted for 2017 I think! And 5lt organic olive oil, some more maple syrup, all stuff that I use regularly.

Anyway, I attended the Christmas fair, very pleasant atmosphere, I bought myself a natural face cream for £10 which is more expensive than your average face creams but a lot cheaper than the natural stuff on the market. And I supported a local lady's business. She gave me her leaflet so if I like the cream she can make it again for me.

I also stocked up on chutneys from my church ladies, it is so delicious! I am never bothered about stocking up on jam, of which they have in abundance, because I can (and do) make my own, but I don't know how to make chutney, so I buy it and support the church too. Win win.

In the library I found a DVD that DH really wanted to watch, Mr Turner, so tonight is going to be treat and DVD night, with a gluten free quiche, salad and YUMMYYYYY Booja Booja chocolate vegan ice cream, as well as a super good quality organic red wine. Pricey, the lot, but the alternative was going to be a takeaway and it would have cost us more.

DD is joining us so all the better for having a treat meal lined up.

I popped into Fortnum and Mason to get the teas for the Italian contingent and sorted it all, got small packets for rellies and a bigger one of darjeeling for my mum. I need to find some loose roiboos for DS or maybe I won't bother because she is getting a nice and expensive perfume. Sorted.

Ok, DH is on his way back from his martial arts course so I am going to prepare the salad and put the quiche in the oven. I had a lovely but long day and cannot be bothered to cook, so tonight is a great treat to have everything ready. Well, apart from the salad which is only the case of washing the lettuce leaves and chopping tomatoes and avocado.

    Have a good evening.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

No she's definitely not small :D She's an English Mastiff cross so up there with the largest breeds.Funny how you get an impression from a description, perhaps its cos I'm always saying she's a wuss, scared of her own shadow ;).I'll have to put a photo on one of these days. Her head is as big as the whole of my brothers dog :rotfl:xx
