Ohhh JackieO, thinking about you strolling there, among all the lovely CSs of the IoW, reminded me of when you and I left the revellers behind in Blackpool and went strolling in that lovely little town at the end of the tramline, remember? Positively heaving with little old fashioned shops and CSs, it was! Have fun, hope you find some amazing bargains if you choose to check the CSs!Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Coxy, I can understand the frustration waiting for the coroners permission for the funeral to go ahead, we had to wait almost a month for Nicholas last year, all over Christmas which was horrendous for all of us. I am dreading the start of December..........
We are very late this morning, it was 9.30 before I opened my eyes so we have just finished breakfast. We will have a very light lunch.....we have an appointment this afternoon, the plans for our 3 villages is being exhibited in the little chapel round the corner, so we will go round and see what they might be thinking for our village. Not much I hope, the school is at capacity, the roads in the village are very narrow and we do not have the infastructure for lots of traffic. Permission has already been granted for the field opposite the community garden, they are not going to be affordable houses either, so it will be more cars in the village along the very narrow roads.
Not such a nice morning as yesterday, very grey, have not been out so no idea hoe cold it is. I will light the sitting room fire later. I have not got to grips with the thermostatic valves on the rads. especially the one in the sitting room, no idea which number equates to the temperature. The engineer set them all on 4 The thermostat in the hall is set at 18.0 -

Sharp frost in Blackpool last night - the Tower was lit in blue & white last might as if to match the weather!
We're off to select our Christmas tree today, DH will pick it up on 13 December so it is up & decorated for his birthday.

Morning all,
Woken with a streaming cold and sore throat and keep losing my voice, am at work tomorrow so will get through that and then I have Monday off.
I ordered a new duvet through an offer Martin was doing on this site, should have been over £80 but I got it for £35 its a luxury feels like down one, I will strip the beds and get that put on today. I don't intend going out of the house, I will stay in the warm and potter.
OH has gone to the shop to get some lemsip I find they get in my system really quickly and help, so will take one of those.
Dinner tonight is yet to be decided but OH will cook, I will have a quick tidy round then rest.
Hope everyone is ok
Hugs to Lainey and Coxy xx
Hilstep how are you doing ?
Have good days all xx0 -
Caterina,
what a great weekend that was, and it must be 10 years ago now
I still have the book 'The Five People You Meet In Heaven' by Mitch Albom that you bought me and I think every one of my family have read it .
Soon it will be the Mini-meet in Macnades in Faversham and we will have a good catch-up..Just awaiting our fisher family to return then we are having a light lunch then off out for the afternoon.
Cowes does have its fair share of CS and some pretty nice ones as well.
We will take the dogs for a run on the beaches as they are a bit more dog-friendly at this time of the year
Weather still kind and dry at the moment

Oh well best laid plans and all that. Collected dd and took her to work. SIL is football coaching this morning so I collected all 3 dgds, aged 2, 5 and 8. It will be fine, I said, I don't have to leave the house, I said. Oh, apart from collecting 2 parcels from the sorting office, where there is no parking, so a long walk is needed, oh, and I need to make sandwiches and take them to my L&M, and then feed ds's cats. Then we came home to do needle felting and make biscuits.Chin up, Titus out.0

Hello, not doing anything very interesting, mostly cleaning up.
I had a really lovely day with a friend yesterday, we went for a walk in a small local park, bought some houseplants from their nursery and had coffee and cake in their cafe. The nursery always has really great quality plants for a lot less than you'd pay elsewhere and it us local authority r u . I work for the LA and lots of jobs are at risk, so am hoping that I have helped a tiny bit to make sure that someone keeps a job. It was a beautiful, bright day, if cold, unlike today, which is cold, dank and overcast.
I'm off to clean the bathroom now.
Love to all those who would like it.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
The early morning fog has lifted but it is still quite cold. I popped out to the shops and got a couple of gift bags, some fish and gammon steaks and diet drinks so am all set for the next couple of days.
Once I have sorted out little stocking gifts then most stuff is done and things should be much tidier, I hope. Kitchen bin is emptied, tins are in recycling and dishwasher about to be filled. Might make more tomato soup as everyone loves it and it does not take long to do.
TA
I am sorry it looks as if yet another procedure is needed but as least they are finding it which is reassuring in a way.
JackieO
Enjoy your break and take care of yourself.
I hate high places too as I can feel the ground pulling me down.

Still very cold and bright here, the thermometer read -2 when I let Ly1a out first thing.Took her to the park and it was frozen-she gets reallly giddy in the snow & frost, rolling over aand over and rubbing her chin along the ground.Luckily the pavements werent too wet but it was a bit slippy, not great when you have a 10stone dog at the end of the lead:eek:
DGc gone home now after their overnight stay,we had a little celebration yesterday tea with bunting and birthday cake for DGS who is now 3.He got very excited at all the dinosaur related presents
Cosy in the house with the logburner lit but am a bit concerned at how quick our stock of wood is going down.
I picked my meat pack up from the butchers and have frozen most of it,just kept some gammon steaks, sausages and a chicken out.Not sure what we are doing tonight,DH keeps dropping hints about going out so we'll see.We have got a new cinema opened in town,I quite fancy that.
TA sorry DH needs something else, and what an awful journey
JO-sounds like youre enjoying your weekend :j
