Looking at a 3 week France car hire next May, but it seems that prices have almost doubled since Brexit.

Is this other people's experience?

No, all my Avis car hire in Europe is exactly the same as it was before.

I was checking through Quidco and that's what I'm seeing.

Perhaps I am checking too early for May and the price will come down, despite MSE's advice to book as soon as possible.

Yes, it probably is too early, Europe is the worst place in the world for early booking car hire, even a week before the date you want can be 3 times higher than a few days before.

OK thanks, sometimes I'll book something more reasonable with free cancellation and keep an eye out for anything better.

Booked 1week at the end of June 2017 about a month or two ago and it was £96 for a Astra sized car. Did it think that was the worst

OK it's not like for like...

I went via Marseilles in May but normally go via Nimes. A Compact from Marseilles was £330, from Nimes it's now £619. Marseilles has not risen in price. Will check the flight prices to Marseilles...
