Always , always book with an agent (preferably a cruise specialist) as they will be able to discount a bit
Just to say that hasn't been my experience at all. Tried three times to go via an agent and each time their best deal was more than booking directly with the company. Maybe it depends on the company (I always book with the same one).

Deals are out there at £50pppd some include drinks at that rate.

8 days £1350 would be looking for a suite.

prices vary a lot and often the extras are the big difference.

The Buy one get one 1/2 is just marketing, the prices get adjusted in advance, or it is just variation on a previous deal like 25% off.

Well I generally book with the same company and the agents always work out a tad cheaper. Next time perhaps ask for quotes from Ocean World Travel & ROL- I always think that even a 2% discount is better than nowt!!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
