NOKIA N73 - unblocking with vodaphone

My Vodaphone contract finished and I requested the unblocking code so that I could change to Virgin 'pay as you go'. Vodaphone made it very difficult and informed me that the Nokia N73 did not have the facility to unblock, therefore, I had to stay with Vodaphone contract or 'pay as you go'.
I spoke with the head office and complained regarding 'freedom of choice'. I was given the unblocking code. I believe that Vodaphone are not transparent.

Don't get confused between unlock and unblock. Unblocking is illegal - blocking is barring an IMEI due to loss or theft of a phone. Unlocking is about using other network's SIMs in your phone. The thanks button is here to the right.
