Does the OP have a cache of gold Krugerrands in his house or what?
The people with the time, resources and ability to do what he describes will just direct money to their own accounts digitally, or scam you in some way. They are not going to come round for the dubious rewards of a 40" telly and old Windows laptop which will make them very little from their friendly fence.
Your opportunistic and less-intelligent thief on the other hand may well think it worthwhile.0 -
matelowdave's point is far more valid than Egmond's.
There are 100 houses on my estate - a quick walk around and I can identify 5 which are unoccupied - lawn not cut, free newspapers in letter box, no lights, no car, for sale signs .......
Come back later that night - easy pickings.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
i m a meter reader and often a neighbour will yell out " they re away on holiday " or like yesterday " they are in Spain for the winter " .empty properties are not that easy to I.D. I ve had the last few houses I ve been to had two cars in the drive but were all empty..well no one came to the door !!
People should not worry about smart meters, Yahoo Email should be a much bigger worry after todays newsThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
