Hi Jox
if this is causing you stress then put the money somewhere else in case you lose more.
Some people say it's stupid to get out now, as they will all come back up.
Have you read this article and feel up to implementing the guidelines?

It might be a "safer" way to get interest on your money.
I'm already doing that to the max that I can. BTW they are wrong. I have two 123 accounts both in my sole name.0 -
Good news about the passwords, change them just in case tho.I must be honest and confess, this thread has left me more confused than I was before.
It started with "Don't worry" and now we are almost at "you are definitely going to lose the lot".
Meanwhile, the loss has now reach £1800.
And yet everyone feels sure he didn't choose these funds to LOSE me money?
I'm confused, panicking and scared now.
As for changing passwords, he never knew them.
Now one thing about MSE is that everyone has their own ideas, and they all think they are right, so you get lots of disagreements.
They also like to make things look complicated when in reality it's all very simple. So you get doom and gloom from some.
My top tip is to keep it simple, don't panic, pick a strategy and stick to it and don't chop and change, money takes a long time to grow, five years min.

"Second, just curious how you have two 123 accounts?"
Er, I opened one, and then I opened another one. Now when I log into Santander online, they both show in my list of accounts (I have a business account as well). They are all in my sole name.
Why do you ask?
I asked because I thought you could only have one sole account.
Couples can have three, a sole account each and a joint account.

Freddie thank you
What concerns me MOST is that Dunston says it's not a case of IF I will lose my money but WHEN.
I do wish I had done the merry-go-round of rotating money between interest-bearing current accounts rather than have all this stress. I didn't because it seemed such a faff, whilst my boyfriend was going to do all the S&S related work.
(He really doesn't know the passwords. He wasn't even in the room when I set them up or when I logged in. Even if he did, he is a love-rat NOT a thief and he would never be so stupid as to try to defraud anyone by transferring funds from my account to his, leaving an electronic paper trail. I have known this man over a decade. This is a man who won't even do 31mph in a 30mph zone!)0 -
FJ I thought you could only have one sole account. Couples can have three, a sole account each and a joint account.
I've definitely got two, with just under 20k in each. As I said, I can see them both one above the other when I log in. Santander opened them both for me within weeks of one another and obviously they know they are both mine, same name, same address. Indeed when I had to ring them a few weeks ago with a query on one, the clerk actually asked me "I can see you have two 123 accounts, which is the one with the problem?" If there was something not right, surely she would have said, "Oi, what's this here? How come we've let you have two 123 accounts?"
Both opened in my sole name. I have never had a joint account with anyone in my life.
Also, my ex boyfriend also has two 23 accounts, both in his sole name, both with 20k in.
I don't know why everything I have read online says what you said. It's not true.0 -

used to be an individual could have two 123 accounts, but Santander tightened up on it.0 -

ah thanks frugal.
So in your opinion, do I cut and run and lose £1,800 or sit tight and wait till they go back up?
And do you agree with Dunston that if I stay in I will lose everything?0
