Please be aware of a SIGNIFICANT CHANGE to Holiday Inn IHG Priority Club Points...

It used to be SHOUTED about that 'They NEVER Expire'...

Well I'm afraid they will NOW EXPIRE unless you use your account in a 12m period...

Do IHG® Rewards Club Points expire?
To reward our guests who choose to stay with us more often, we focus more programme benefits toward members who earn and redeem on a regular basis. All points will expire after 12 months if there's no account activity. But it's easy to maintain your points balance. Just earn or redeem once a year through any of our IHG hotels or partners.


For many this could be quite significant, I know lots of people who have been saving for many years for the Trip of a lifetime etc...

I have around 800,000 points (down from my peak of 1 million...) and I cant be alone..

The Priority Club Points DO NOT come up in the MSE 'check my points value calculator' so I cant tell you what the value is.. but its a good few nights stay in a Holiday Inn, Crown Plaza etc....

I think it's been that way a year or so.

I value at 0.4p.

I think you can get 160 nights in Rotherham with your points.

Old news but possibly worth bringing up

Change came into place from May 2016.

How do I stop points from expiring?

Even if you do forget and the points expire, you can ring up CS and ask for them to be re-instated.

They will do this as a "one time offer"
