Which card to use - overseas

On my previous trips to Canada I have used mainly Virgin Pre-paid card and Debit card as when needed.
Seen that Travelex Supercard being a good card to use, with its charges.
Does this card work in the same manner as the Pre-paid or is there another card linked to access funds for payments/withdrawals at ATMs/etc.
One worry I have about the Travelex, as this maybe used once in 1 or 2 years, from their site a charge is made for inactivity for 12mths or more.
Or should I stay with Virgin.
Thanks

You are paying big money to use the Virgin Money prepaid MasterCard, especially overseas, when you could be paying nothing for prepaid with Revolut or Monzo. If your debit card is with the Virgin Money Essential Current Account it is fee free for overseas purchases. Travelex Supercard is fine for purchases. General info is here:

Ok,
On another track,
Which would be the better: Mastcard credit card or Pre-paid card, as I don't take a phone abroad.0 -
