The tiles have a shiny appearance, so I am wondering if they are lightweight metal ones.

The flashing is unsatisfactory, but the elephant in the room is nobody has mentioned building in a cavity tray. I do not see any signs of one being present, which would mean you will be getting wet through your ceiling. To what extent depends on rainfall and exposure.

You have asked is it a good job? The fact that the fitters were available immediately should ring alarm bells. The fact that they cannot fit a downpipe that is straight, and properly alligned, should set more alarm bells ringing.

Good point regarding the cavity tray. Due to my lack of knowledge I made the mistake of getting a conservatory built without a cavity tray. Most of the time it was fine but as soon as the wind blew the rain on to the walls and the rainwater ran down it started getting inside.
It was an absolute pain and you won't notice it straight away. It is also difficult to fit after the work has been done.
