I purchased a Zoostorm computer which I've seen linked to on here. It was reasonably priced. It's done now.

Dual core celeron 2.7Ghz. Same spec as my 10 year old PC but you have less RAM and HDD space.

If you put windows 10 on it wait for the update. It will run like a snail afterwards. I am so impatient.

Fingers eager to buy an 8 core system, but awaiting the new AMD chips to hit the shelves before deciding.

  • You may be able to get MS Office 2016 for home use for £9.95 depending on your employer.

Same spec as MY 10 year old PC which is an AMD 5200.

Geekbench scores are very close between the 2.

Currently running unclocked also, so i know i could improve on my scores.

Is the spec rather dismal as forgotmyname claims?

For general use it will be fine and it's a good price, I've friends with a similar machine running Windows 8 and they had no issues with performance.

Haven't picked it up yet but it's arrived local Argos. If I don't pick it up before a certain date it will be sent back and I get refunded according to the email I received. But I don't really want to do that. I don't have time to pick up before the weekend.
