Simply, I don't normally have the car in Edinburgh with me it is a family car and due to having to travel back to the west coast on a Tuesday and return on a Friday. I have only had the car in Edinburgh for a total of 8 days (4 of those days the car remained outside the flat) and I think anybody could agree thats not worth buying a permit for considering the cheapest one is 3 months0
