Super silent washing machine

I bought an LG washer/dryer. Yes, the direct drive motor is quiet but after only 18 months the plastic handle broke. When I phoned LG spares dept, they said they only keep spares for 2 years (so was that well known high street shop selling old stock?). I was lucky, I bought one on eBay from an Australian seller, but it cost me £20 for a £2.50 part.0

I have a Siemens washing machine about a year old. It is pretty quiet even on a 1400 spin (71dB apparently) but the best thing about it is that it is so stable. No shaking, no rattling around etc, just absolutely rock steady. I suspect that is at least as important a consideration as the mechanical noise. It is standing on a concrete floor with stone tiling if that makes any difference. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0

If you go to curry website, there is a filter option for noise level at on the left.0

The floor makes a massive difference.
Our old place had a concrete floor, and you didn't notice the washing machine spinning away. The new place is old suspended flooring, which is somewhat more apparent.0
