human foetus and chicken bits used in the MMR...

we foudn out that the MMR is made from early development of stem cells from a human foetus for one of them and from chicken parts (sorry cannot remember which) for the other jab - there are 2 companies that provide these jabs. we were told that it does not rule out the fact that one could get aids or the chicken could have had bird flu. anyone has any info on this thanks.

Is this a computer generated conspiracy theory?

It sounds like someone has stuck all the controversial words they could think of into a bag, and drawn them out randomly! :D

MMR, Stem Cells, Human Foetus, Chicken Parts, 2 Companies (Ie near monopoly) AIDS, Bird Flu!

You missed out Mercury, Flouride, Nazis, Grassy Knoll, Mormon chemical engineer (Who, apparently, cannot lie) and Dodi Al Fyaed.

Had you got those into the mix, it would have been a full house!!
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

I don't want to sound in any way patronising but I will explain the way they are made in the simplest of terms :o
Vaccines are not made FROM stem cells or chicken parts, they are made IN cells derived from these tissues. Basically, vaccines are composed of huge amounts of weakened virus so a vaccine against hepatitis, may contain the virus that causes hepatitis in an 'attenuated' or weaker form or a part of the virus that will kick-start the immune system to produce antibodies.

In order to make the huge quantities of virus needed for enough vaccines for the western world, the viruses are grown in a nursery-type environment to encourage fast growth. What better environment than their natural prey, mammalian cells.

Some vaccines are made in immortalised cell lines, these are cells that don't die in a similar way that cancer cells don't die. These cells could have come from a human foetus or a chicken embryo but they have been genetically altered so that they multiply continuously. The virus is introduced into the cell line and the virus replicates many many times.

In order to get the virus out of the cells, the cell walls are burst or 'lysed' so the virus can be purified. The viral DNA is super-purified. It is screened for purity so any contaminating virus such as HIV or H5N1 avian flu virus would show up due to its unique fingerprint or DNA code.

Because of these very stringent quality control procedures, it would be exceptionally difficult for vaccines to be contaminated with any rogue viruses.

Stories such as this are usually fuelled by the Catholic church (type in vaccines+human foetus and look at the first page of results) who think that any work performed on cells from human embryos is wrong so they do everything they can to discredit it.

If there is anything that is a bit fuzzy, I will do my best to clarify ;)

Wouldn't it then have been horse parts rather than chicken parts? :rotfl:

floyd, perhaps it's fairer to say that the Catholic church have a particular interest in/take issue with vaccinations created from aborted foetuses. After all, there's no evidence to suggest that this story was derived from the church.

Not having a go at all, just like things to be presented fairly :o thanks for your post and google suggestion, it was really informative.
