Even though that case earlier this year showed that the court was ruling in favour of the car parking company, does everyone still think it's a good idea to just ignore from now on?

I've searched for landowner of county oak Crawley but can't find the info.

Does anyone know their details please?

I think it might be this company.

Edit : They must be the Agents, Standard Life Investments are probably the Landowners
  • I as the registered keeper have also received a G24 letter for County Oak - for the driver having parked for 14 minutes over the free period - TO VISIT THE SHOPS/HAVE LUNCH! Please update me with any news and I will do the same. So far I have gone onto their 'appeals' page on website to state I am unable to provide them with the drivers details, and it is unenforceable as they have not suffered a loss.

    Hi,

A £70 parking charge (£42 if paid in 14 days) has been received from parking at County Oak Crawley. This place is full of very large shops, Next, PC World, B&M, Costa, etc.

The parking time limit is 150mins, we were there 216mins, so 46mins over. We were there with our 4 year old and 1 year old so everything takes a long time, including numerous visits to the toilet for the 4 year old and nappy changing for the 1 year old. I've been there loads of times over the years and never knew there was a limit. There's quite a bit of shopping to do there and the place is growing. I think we went to pretty much every shop there and bought from a few but not sure if we have receipts. We also had lunch there!
It would've been difficult for us to only spend 150 mins there and eat lunch with 2 little kids in tow.
I have read a lot of the other posts and would just like clarification.
I gather I should reply to G24 but what should and shouldn't i say to them? Is there a template that people have been using?
    Thank you.

Oh dear, that's over a year out of date.

You don't know about ParkingEye v Beavis then? You can't argue 'no loss'. DO NOT TRY.

Start your own thread to tell us about your eventual success, once you have got it cancelled by robust complaints to the right Managers. G24 never sue anyone but neither do they cancel when people appeal. But they are often told to cancel by retailers/landowners. Do that instead.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi again,

Just received another letter from G24. They said they would not be communicating with us again after I sent the template letter. I was expecting to get debt collectors letters from then on.

The latest letter is saying that as we are over our initial 14 days, £70 is now due and owing.

Do I ignore this letter as I would the debt collectors letters or do I answer it again as I did the first letter from G24?

    Thank you.

You should now make a complaint to every company on the site,

Tell them that this company can do serious damage to their bottom line, as neither you nor any of your family will use this car park again.

You could also write bad stuuf on Facebook and Twitter,
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
