Oops- last time I looked that means they'll be in time for the horrid white stuff!...

Just looked at the forecast now. Only showing a snowflake for 11 am so we might escape (and so might the drivers- but of course I'm not knowing their destinations afterreaching the Humber!)

Well after a difficult few weeks we are working together to make Christmas special. Decorations are now all in place, presents purchased and wrapped. All the cards sent! House and garden looking good.
Had a bit if a plumbing nightmare this week when upstairs water tank was contaminated with fibre glass lagging which has clogged several pipes. Three toilets and basins out of action all week😳. Luckily the showers, kitchen sink, dishwasher, washing machine and heating unaffected! Hopefully all repaired Monday!!

Everyone sounds like they're keeping busy anyway. I have so much to do, but at least now there's no rush anymore :)

Bet that is quite a decision.....I would find that well nigh impossible being a hoarder of the first order! But in my defence I do make a lot of stuff for charity from things people give me, or bought cheaply at car boots or charity shops.
As a dedicated a crafter that does not lead to a minimalist house though personally I blame the hounds for the mess indoors......

Hope they got back safely. Scattering of snow for a couple of hours here from 9am and then it turned to rain but it has barely been daylight all day- no solar power.
For once it was very much worse elsewhere.

Had a wonderful day , life is just bliss . So much snow here and we have so enjoyed it. Out walking for 2 hours in said snow with our new walking boots on, no slipping or falling they are amazing. I am so happy .Normally in work I would have to drive in the snow to a clients house or be sent to work for a client I didn't know who was nearer. I am so relieved . I can only hope that you are all as happy as we are . It was a worrying time to give up our jobs but this is so much more than we could ever have thought it would be.

think it's summed up by this well known poem:-

    "LEISURE"
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

    By Wm. Henry Davies.

Yes and yes.:D. There's very few companies that do what we do, so I'm well established and we punch above our weight, so shallowly I take pleasure on being 'known'. But......
Crv yes an isolated house on a hill in the middle of town. Doh!. Why didn't I think of that:rotfl:

Hey katiehound, seems I’m having a delurking week so just popping in to shout out - punching above your weight- that’s achievement and nothing shallow about celebrating what you’ve made. And that sounds like the perfect bungalow - as long as there’s somewhere for dog walking close by. Sadly seems it’s occupied for the foreseeable ...
