gosh i am SOOOOOO ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!

 Man came round and cut the hedge at the end of our drive yesterday, (approx 7 foot tall, well established and, erm, hefty.) parked his landrover and trailer on our driveway, gets out with his mini scaffolding tower and hedge trims the end of our drive to within an inch of it's life. no knocking on the door, no hi i'm just doing...it's now just a bunch of brown sticks with no leaves on it.Oh well landlady must've arrnaged it thinks i and go back to work.

Anyhoo, said man toddles off leaving a pile of hedge cuttings the whole length of the hedge and about 3 foot high (branches) on the driveway.
Not concerned as he'd be back today.... Called landlady nowt to do with her so went to see guy at the bottom of the driveway who's garden is on the other side of the hedge. it was him!!!!

apparently he has every right to cut the hedge, even coming onto our land to do so, but if he takes his crud away it's theft so he's left it for us!!!
Going to have to hire a large trailer to get rid, hoping landlady will help us out!
Just had an incredibly robust conversation with said man, the RUDENESS of it! he HAD a trailer! how dare he just waltz on here, and leave his CR*P for us to clear up!! the hedge looked fine and nice and leafy and the birds had a very happy home there.
I'm FUMING!! anyone got any legal knowledge that may help out on this one?
a very cross Pania.

Technically he is sort of right but hell in the real world there is such a thing as courtesy, I would be tempted to throw them on his side and call it a "gift"

I have no knowledge pania, but you have my sympathies and I agree, surely they could have taken the c**p away with them.

I too would be extremely tempted to get a wheelbarrow and wheel the rubbish over to his side! However, I was going to suggest appealing to his nicer side, but he obviously hasn't got one. How pedantic can you get:mad:  (on your behalf!)

Thanks sammy, if it was leaves and twigs i'd be fine and probably leave for the hedgehogs but you should see it! i'm quite tempted to take a photo and post it, the branches are as thick as my arm! He said he had "no right" to take them away, i politely suggested he had no right to be at the bottom of our driveway without asking and politely said that it was more because he couldn't be arsed than getting done for theft. at which point he politely told me to vanish and not come back! which i did, in a polite manner of course!!!

I'm fairly sure it's perfectly legal for you to throw the cuttings onto his side and then he needs to deal with it.

    Job done.
