Also booked a Mr A delivery for 23 Dec, fingers crossed I remember to amend, as put random stuff in basket, just to reserve the slot!!
Hope you all have a good month!
Heh heh! I had one of the packers from A$DA ring me one year asking if I really wanted forty packets of strawberry milk shake mix* and nothing else delivered four days before Christmas. Apparently they were getting organised early and already packing up ambient items. I asked her what her best guess was about the situation.
*I moved to this method after the 11kg of bananas Christmas when I filled my basket so early I forgot I did it, and blurrily imagined I was getting just 11.
My mini 4 day 'between calendars' period is over, and weekend spend was slightly higher than expected due to my missing a shop in the week, but we are still ok. Starting festive budget proper tomorrow.Target £80 per week groceries, household and cleaning for four adults.0 -
Good luck for surgery accyally.
Don't start using them if you are unsure save dosh! I usually have mum with me, she's an old hand. She's eyeing up my pearodka already mind!
Lol kkffoo! Mmm 40 packs of milkshake! Merry Christmas!
No spends for me today. My budget book and menu planning/shopping books have arrived! I LOVE the budget one! It was pretty expensive, (£8.99) but we'll worth it. The other book was much cheaper and isn't great to be honest. It's good, but the other book is just so amazing it looks a bit poo in comparison. I realise I sound a bit odd!0 -
big spends of £22 yesterday in iceland and ys bargains in tesco and morrisons. but freezer, fridge, stores all full. so no more for a week i hope. xx0

So far a spend of £26.42 in 4 small shops.
I ended up having a spendy day on Saturday when I spent £12 as I didn't want to go empty-handed to my Dad's, so took him some brazil nuts, and got some baking stuff so I could make gingerbread men - very Christmassy. They went down a treat. Nothing like freshly baked gingerbread, is there? We're not doing presents at all, which is sad, but neither of us can afford it.
Not got much in the way of meat in the freezer, so thinking of padding out with a few veggie dinners and hope OH doesn't mind too much.
Also about to run out of bread, but need a day or two off spending so shall bake tonight.Keep reading books!
July grocery challenge START: £150.

Just 6.50 spent this week on fruit, veg and black peppercorns.
Really struggling to get space in the freezers. Took a pack of mince out this morning which has made 4 cottage pies so 3 have gone in freezer taking up much more room than the pack of mince lol.Slimming World at target0 -
Not bought anything yet from my food purse budget I am going shopping tomorrow for a few bits. Yesterday DD gave me a pack of cooking bacon from Tesco's as they have 500gms on offer for 60p, think I will buy a couple of packs for the freezer at that price well worth stashing for later0

NSD for me again today. Roast chicken on Saturday gave leftovers for risotto on Sunday, pasta today and I've boiled up the rest with celery, carrot, onion, peppercorns and bay leaves to make stock for soup tomorrow. There was plenty of chicken left on there too. Serves 3-4 my foot!0
