Charities do what I did!

Used cash4coins for a second time. It seems they have come of age because it was a different website to the last time I used them. All the charities that use them are on the bottom of their home page.

We collected a pot of old coins and odd banknotes for the local hospice, when we called them they explained that if we got over 5kg it would be free to send them so we tried again for another 6 weeks (we already had 4.2kg)

Sent them off, got on line tracking to see them get there, an email when they arrived and payment in 10 days once they were all sorted out. £97.55 for a pot of old junk, not a fortune but hassle free donation for the hospice.

They sent us some free leaflets to help collect more so all good.

Maybe keep them, they might be worth something to coin collectors in years to come? perhaps

I was in Cologne at the Bundesbank branch two weeks ago cashing in 40.8 kilos of deutschmarks coins.
That netted me the neat sum of just over 4,000 euros.
I spend a lot of time in Portugal so they come in handy. :cool:
