https://www.bakerross.co.uk (very sorry not learnt how to do links yet) The catalogue is full of little gifts and craft kits etc fairly cheap and worth doing if you have several small persons stockings to fill.

  • Two Christmas tips:
    1) Bit late now, but for next year... start saving tiny amounts, and by Christmas you'll have enough to buy tons of presents and not even notice! We're on a low income, but I still manage to put away a fiver a week, and it really adds up. No pain, no need to abuse your credit card either.
    2) What? You still eat turkey?! OMG, not only is the lifecycle of these birds atrociously cruel, but you get absolutely fleeced when you go to buy one.  We have pheasant every year. 5 or 6 quid a brace (two, if you dint know) from most local butchers. Two birds feeds four greedy people with enough left over for soup, they taste delicious, and they cook in about an hour and a half. Plus everyone thinks you're dead posh for eating game. ;)
