What do you mean? My visit is next week and it's all I've been thinking about over Christmas.

So how long a period do you think should be kept visit free then? All of January perhaps so people are not informed of a visit just before xmas?

What about birthdays? No visits allowed for a month after someone's birthday?

The problem is not with the visit being arranged just after xmas with consequent notification before, the problem is your reaction to it.
