My new iPhone is faulty, they want to repair or replace it, but can I just refund?

Thank you for the info. So, if they send me a replacement device - which is quite likely - and it too has functioning problems then I have 30 days from the receipt of that replacement device to ask for a refund under this act?
I'm happy to stand corrected but a while ago here on MSE someone had a query and I thought they'd be able to get a refund as it was a replacement.
The person who replied told me it would be linked to the original purchase date and not the date of replacement. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
You'd be very unlucky to get a faulty device again. But no, it's 30 days from the date of purchase.0

Not network signal artefacts?Had multiple issues mainly with sound: speaker popping, weird sound during phone calls, sometimes the headset doesn't work for calls.
What headset are you using? These seem to be common issues with this version
The articles I've read seem to all reference the same 2 user complaints (even down to using the same quotes). The hissing sound appears to be more widespread than the poor audio reports.====0 -

Sometimes there's poor audio which seems to be because of network problems, but is something that only occurs with this handset. Previous iPhone never had issues.
Things like not being able to hear the other end other than completely distorted audio.
But there's also weird sound from the device like the other person is in a distant room, I'm not sure if this intended but it's not great
Headset as in the EarPods that come with the phone. Whether that's a problem with the EarPods or the phone hard to be sure.0 -
An appointment at a "Genius Bar" is probably the best next step. Take the phone and headphones and let them test both for you.====0

Can I ask what issues you are having with the phone? It's just I got the same one and it keeps going a little funny..0
