Afternoon, (((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, Specky and Jackie.
Went over to the library at Bingham this morning, also called at Boyes, the bank and Boots.
OH spent half the night coughing again, I was shattered when I got up at 8 am. I hope he does not cough tonight!!
Fritatta with bacon for supper. OH requested a jacket spud and I have done a tomato and cucumber salad to go with it, also cooked the stew for tomorrow night, it always tastes better for being in the fridge overnight. I will need to do the veg in the morning, we have an appointment and then popping to DD2's with the turkey I got last week. I will not want to start peeling spuds etc when we get back.0 -

Welcome Pie. Lovely group of guys and gals on here every day and as I've found over the last year, very supportive and helpful.
Thanks all for the kind wishes. Very touching. And Jackie, my mum said the exact same thing to me!!! Must be a West of Scotland thing.0 -
I've just spoken to DH and he's ok, if a bit groggy. He might be out tonight so fingers crossed as we were told he'd have to stay in overnight.0

Hello again and welcome Freshstart.
JackieO I am glad your heating is on again and goid job you had an emergency fund, hoe expensive these things are!
Hope little Evie dog is better soon.
Hope Mr Snoozer gets home and recovers quickly.
Speky, that is sad for you both but if it isn't working for you, it is for the best in the long run.
I've been to the doctor today, pretty unusual for me, two visits in three months, I'd not needed to go for several years. I now have antibiotics and a steroid nasal spray to deal with a sinus problem, an appointment for my stitches to come out on Friday and my first ever flu jab. She is a good injection giver, I hardly felt it.
Another busy day done, extra busy tomorrow with all sorts of stuff to do including doing a seminar type thingy which I've prepared now, then no work until next Tuesday.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
SPEKY so sorry to read about your breakup.
HILLSTEP hope you are comfortable.
JACKIE O so glad your heating is sorted but ouch at the cost.
SLOWLY where do you get your candles.
Yesterdays visit to hospital for eye check up was done and dusted in 30 minutes. I go every 6 months as have retinopathy in both eyes due to my diabetes. Sure the eye drops were extra stingy. So had a look round a discount village shops where we got a 65litre rucksack, a playbook farm set half price and a jumper for my husband. Ice cream from Cadwalers,my favourite ice cream shop ,and then lunch out as a treat.
Today I went shopping with my friend and had lunch in Asda. Unfortunately I'm not very well sick and lethargic so going bed in bit.
Hugs to those who want /need them.0 -
Good evening,
JackieO bad news about the cost but as others said, you will feel the difference. Good that you have full insurance on the stairlift.
Pie welcome, best wishes with your fresh start.
Well wishes for Snoozer's DH for a full and prompt recovery.
Hugs to all who need them.
Well I am now officially in the waiting list for hip replacement, both sides, but not at the same time. Scared and relieved all at once. It might take several months so I am not holding my breath, but it means no planned hols for next year.
I came back home late so no yoga, instead DH and I drove to do a bit of food shopping, then DH went to his martial arts class and I went out to dinner with DS, the food so so but I was delighted to spend some time alone with him. We were so close when he lived at home and I miss him very much. I see DD a lot more, for her it is simpler, as her shifts allow her more time and often she stays here overnight as her early start job (5am) is nearer to here than her home and she can have an extra half hour sleep.
Speaking of sleep, good night! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hi Ya chums I am so lucky to have my smashing DD Tess, she had the day off today and rang and said 'Come on Mum lets go tat's '
she knew I was feeling fed -up so we went to Sittingbourne and she took me to lunch, then we got her shopping and I managed to buy her OH's birthday present as its his birthday next week.
We found a smashing jumper that won't break the bank for him.We came home in the afternoon and I stayed to dinner tonight at their house and came home with some left over veg and some chicken slices, so no cooking for me tomorrow as it will be ample for my lunch. Tomorrow night I am off to Bluewater (large shopping centre ) to get my outfit for my DGS wedding next month.
Sorted out my wardrobe upstairs whilst the plumber was here and I basically only need a decent new top, and I want to get some black velvet trouser for Christmas .I have some shopping vouchers so fingers crossed it won't cost too much.My eldest DD is taking me so I will be out another night this week
:):)
I am such a fortunate person to have two smashing caring daughters, bless them both they are diamonds.
Feeling a bit more perky now I am warmer
Just off to bed now to have a read of my latest library book The Killing 111 by David Hewson.
Good night chums and thank for all your good wishes I am so blessed
JackieO xx0
