I sold an item. Now Buyer wants to pay for it directly into my bank account.

No problems in using bank transfer at all. Saves on paypal fees too. :j0

i always thought that but dont they warn you against even leaving these sorts of details in the bin? what about fraud, identity theft etc?
If you throw away your bank statements they not only have your account number and sort code but also your address and name therefore very very easy to have your identity stolen.
When doing a bank transfer all you need to give out is account number and sort code. All anyone can do is pay into the account.0 -
I just love bank transfers I even offer 5% discount to buyers if they pay that way.
Someone who pays via bank transfer is very decent because they are carrying all the risk and tend to be more honest hence the extra +/- 2% discount.0
