Scrimp or Splurge - What Is A False Economy?

Options
Just wondering what people feel is worth spending a bit of money on and what can be scrimped?

My splurge list would be:
Toilet roll
Shoes
Bedding

    I'd also add
    Free range eggs &meat
Wool for knitting. But they might both be a bit personal :rotfl:

I scrimped for far too long.

I've splashed out on lovely bedding...as long as it's in a sale...my latest bedding is from soak and sleep...it's too lovely to mention!

    Free range eggs.

    Soft loo roll.

    Malt Whisky!

    Pots and pans.

All worth saving up for! x

    Mine would be;
    Ground coffee
    Cast iron casserole dish
Kitchen aid mixer (got second hand but still expensive but I love it and it is very well used)

All worth a bit of scrimping in other areas:)

An MSE-er after my own heart!

I just sat on the floor in TK Maxx pulling out pillow bags from the backs of shelves & squishing luxury pillows for about 20 minutes to find some really nice feeling, non-lumpy, bounce back-able ones as I'm tired of buying cheap-ish polyester pillows and waking up with a sore neck after a month - here's hoping! Think the staff thought I was a bit mental but they left me to it :rotfl:

£60-worth of pillows for £24 and a beautiful V&A superkingsize duvet set for £40 reduced from £85 (googled it before buying it and it's still selling online for £80) and I'm a happy bunny!

Also agreed about Aldi toilet roll, not all cheap loo roll is created equal lol!

Thanks for the suggestions so far :-)

    Scrimp on :
Household cleaning stuff: microfibre dusters and my small arsenal of 99p Astonish cleaning products (accumulated over the year). I am not faithful to any brand of clothes washing product so long as it is non-bio - same goes for washing up liquid.

Cheap loo roll gets used twice as fast - so a false economy :) There's always an offer on somewhere.
Cheap shower gel is like washing with washing up liquid - I watch for when Bouts have 3 for 2 offers or check Suuuperdrug/Wilkkco/Poundstrrretcherr

Worth paying for (not splurging, just living well):
    Good chocolate/coffee/tea/cheese/bread
    Free Range/Freedom Food/Red Tractor products
    Veg from our local farmshop
Cruelty-free hair dye, hair products and lovely local hairdresser :)
    Paint
    Shopping locally
    Doorstep local milk delivered
    Good service

    Splurging:
    Travel
    Motorcycles

Good coffee, good butter, good cheese. I could survive on that.

Fairy nonbio washing liquid. Everything else makes me itch.
