Good Luck with your No Spend Month! :money:
I may use this idea later in the year, once my budgeting skills have been honed a little.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Where is January going???
Hope everyone is well x It has been a few days since my last post as I have been concentrating on getting some jobs ticked off of my list in RL.
Money things have stayed on track and I am on count down to payday (I am excited to see if I can hit my savings target this month). I have run out of petrol earlier than anticipated, so I will need to make a small spend tomorrow to see me through to payday (which is the start of next months budget).
Other than that, there is nothing much to report.
Right, I am off to grab a cuppa and catch up on some MFW diaries.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Day off with LO today - I love these days at home
Payday tomorrow which is exciting as I really want to hit our savings goal this month if we can.
Work is full on at the moment and will continue for the next 2-3 months - I need to find my mojo! :rotfl:
On a really positive note, I mentioned that we may have some journey changing news in the pipeline and I am pleased to say that it is moving along in the right direction - we should hopefully know for definite if its happening by the end of next week.
Up to £30.30 on OnePoll and need to make sure I am regularly checking for surveys. None of the market research applications I have made have been fruitful, but I will keep trying!2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Payday shuffles made for both of us and we have managed to hit the £1500 Emergency Savings target!!!! :j:j
We wouldn't have hit the target this month had we not done a tonne of overtime and I cut out my personal spends for Feb, but I suppose that just goes to show the power of having goals to work toward.
I also have £24.74 left that was unaccounted for, which will make our first (albeit small) Mortgage OP of 2017 :beer:2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Woooop WOOP! Well done for the savings figure & the OP! Pretty impressive figures for January!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
Thanks Kittenkirst - you are off to a flying start too! It seems that 2017 is the MFW year.
I bet the banks are terrified given all of the OP's I have read about on the MFW board this month.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Happy February!
I am possibly a little too excited about moving towards spring, but I am fed up of all the grey skies.
On the money front, I haven't spent much since payday - just on milk and tatties. There have been some work expenses, but I am not counting these as they will be reimbursed in a couple of weeks.
The mortgage direct debit has gone out today, so that is a step further down the path to freedom
Even more excitingly, OH has been spoken to about an internal transfer at work with a higher salary. After a couple of weeks of discussions the move is set and he is just waiting for an exact date to be agreed and the new contracts to be sent out. I am so pleased for him as he has worked really hard to get this far :T
Needless to say, the increase in salary will accelerate how quickly we pay off the family loan and hit the mortgage. We are going to make hay while the sun is shining x2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
