    Positive money actions today

    1. £8.19 sent to mortgage from current account round down, this includes cash I have swapped out of the grocery budget for a £5 M&S voucher.

    2. Added yesterday's washing up liquid receipt to Receipt Hog.

    3. Withdrew £20 for nephew's birthday card, as per budget.

No other spends due this weekend, but I will need to go through meal plan/shopping list/cupboards in preparation for next weeks weekly shop.

    1. OH and DD1 went to the cinema with the gift voucher I found in the cupboard, so they've had some quality time together without it affecting the accounts :money:

    2. I have been through the fridge and cupoards and have the meat for today's dinner cooked, with enough to do a curry tomorrow. I have also made two chocolate and pear cakes, to use up the three pears that were lingering in the fridge.

    3. Meals planned for next week and a shopping list has been made for tomorrow.

    4. Three loads of washing done and on the line while the weather is nice.

I'm posting everyday at the minute, as I find it keeps me in line (and this month I NEED to be kept in line money wise :D)

    So today I did the grocery shop, as planned;
    £29.40 spent in Aldi
£12 spent in Asda (£8 of which is due to be reimbursed by Checkout Smart this week :money:)
    £14.99 on petrol for May

Total spend: 56.39 (£48.39 once COS hits my account). All receipts photographed for ReceiptHog (plus I'm almost at the £5 paypal reward).

I did some market research over the weekend, so am expecting £50 in this week, plus some money for mystery shops (about £24).

I have applied for more mystery shop assignments, just waiting to hear whether I get them.

Two loads of washing on the line to get them dried via the big yellow dot in the sky :rotfl:

Tomorrow I have a free swim planned with DD2 and will go to M&S for a chicken (to be paid for by £5 voucher), plus go to the nearby Waitrose for some Jude's Ice lollies (2x £1 off manufacturer coupon, plus £1.50 cashback on each pack (x2) from COS, should make them £1 for 16 lollies) :money:

 I've messed up with the Jude's vouchers - the £1 off are only for ice cream TUBS, not their whole range  Not such a good deal now.

So, the revised plan for today is a free swim with DD2 and to pick up a chicken with the M&S voucher (unless there are any good yellow sticker items that I can freeze too).

    Positive Money Actions Today

    1. £50 received from Market Research I did over the weekend, this has been moved to my sinking funds (minus some for tax).

    2. Accepted for one of the nine Mystery Shop jobs I applied for.

    3. Found £3.20 while cleaning out my coats ready for being stored. I put the cash in my purse and transferred the same amount from my grocery money to my sinking funds.

    4. Got an email to say I have won a competition! I'm pretty chuffed, but OH rained on my parade and said "I'll believe it when I see the prize"

    5. Bought chicken from M&S with voucher as planned. Not much in the way of yellow sticker bargains, so stuck to my original plan.

    6. I did go slightly off piste, as I saw a summer hat for DD2 (needed) and bought that (£8), this will come out of the Child Benefit when it arrives in my account.

    7. DD2 and I took advantage of a free swim session at a local swimming baths.

    8. Sorting out my wardrobe has left me with a big bag of saleable items, they have been stored for now as they are seasonal items (Coats, snowsuits, xmas items, halloween costume).

    9. Sorted out all birthday items I have bought. I will only need to buy cards and two small fathers day gifts until late August :money:

    10. Requested £11 payout from checkoutsmart. £8 to go back to the grocery pot, £3 to sinking funds.

    Things to do

[STRIKE]1. Find debit card (I have put it somewhere 'safe' in the house, only trouble is I can't recall where ). [/STRIKE] DONE

    2. Chase up Mystery Shopping money if not in account tomorrow, as that will be 5 working days since they said it had been sent to the bank (they say it can take up to 5 working days to clear).

I'm feeling a bit flat today, but not sure why. Maybe I need some downtime as the last couple of weeks have been pretty busy.

I have tried to maintain my money saving though.

    Positive Money Actions

    1. Found my debit card :D

    2. Still no mystery shop payment (that was for 3 jobs), so I have emailed the company to politely chase this up, as they have said online that the money has been sent to the bank. Will await response.

    3. Applied for one mystery shop today, just need to wait to hear whether I have been allocated it.

    4. Took advantage of the Halfords £10 MOT voucher. I needed to get some sun shades for the back of the car to keep the sun off of the DD's. I found a pack of two in their clearance section for £1.50, have ordered for click and collect and according to their website this should trigger the £10 MOT. I will pay for the shades in store and will put the MOT voucher aside until October when my car is due.

    5. One small spend today, as I needed some own label Calpol from the pharmacy for DD2, £2.60 spent.

    6. Have entered 6 competitions. Aiming for 10 entries today, so need to add to that.

    Things to do

    1. [STRIKE]Enter at least 4 more competitions.[/STRIKE] DONE
    2. Check for and fill in surveys.
    3. Ironing.
    4. Look at modifying some clothing to make it fit better after a weight loss.

    Positive Money Actions today

    1. Meal plan and shopping list done ready for tomorrow (as I don't fancy going shopping on Bank Holiday Monday).

    2. Entered 15 competitions.

    3. The Mystery Shopping money I was missing is due into my account tomorrow (it was delayed for some reason), this will go into my sinking funds.

    4. NSD today :money:

    5. Received money from Checkout Smart - £8 back to grocery fund, £2.45 to sinking funds.

    6. I was allocated the mystery shop I applied for earlier this week. I will do that on the date requested.

Well, I have had an email from the magazine who ran the competition and then the Gin company who are awarding the prize asking for my address (it was a years worth of Gin that I won). They have said they will send it out to me this week, so with courier from Yorkshire, I anticipate it will be here sometime next week ... but OH won't be getting a drop :D

    Good Morning!

I didn't post yesterday as frankly I was really tired. This weekend is going to be a quiet one, with rest being a priority.

    Positive Money Actions Yesterday

    1. Weekly shop done, 33p over budget, but I'm happy with that.

    2. I received £12 of M&S vouchers from the credit card points (this is from paying wedding stuff on the card for the protection and points, then paying the card straight off with wedding savings).

    3. As I'm counting the M&S vouchers in the grocery budget, I have moved £12 to sinking funds.

    4. Entered 4 competitions.

    5. Got another mystery shop job yesterday, so have 3 to do in the next couple of weeks.

    6. Cashed out a £5 voucher from doing surveys, again, this will go into grocery budget once it is received, and cash equivalent (minus tax) will go to sinking funds.
