N07 voucher used yesterday, OH face wash should have been £8.50, but I had the £5 off voucher. I swiped the £6.50 to savings to make it a round £10 spent/saved yesterday.

I also grabbed a free mermaid shower gel through checkout smart - this will go into the hamper of goodies i'm making for DD1 birthday. So far, I have a couple of bits I picked up for £1 each in the sales, plus this free shower gel. I will keep an eye out for more bits that I know she will like and put them all into one gift of goodies.

Other than these bits and the Tesco collection, no other spends were made. Grocery shopping for next week has now been done, so we shouldn't need anything else now.

NSD today, but I did have a treat by finally using my Greggs free birthday treat reward (who doesn't love a free cake!?)

Mortgage account checked and spreadsheet updated as the March payment went out today :money:

I'm now just working on my third typing job of the day, all moving me towards my financial goals for March :D

    Happy Sunday!

So Friday and Saturday were NSD's for me.

Today, not so ... DD1 complained on Friday that her school shoes were hurting, so I took her to get her feet measured - She had gone up a whole size!!!! So, new shoes were needed. In anticipation of this possibly happening, I went to a Clarks outlet. £27 spent on shoes instead of the RRP of £40.

I will probably list her old ones on Ebay - just need to check the soles are in decent nick.

£10.50 in Asda on fruit (as they had eaten all of it since Thursday), yoghurts, and two bath bombs (1 for DD1 to use tonight and 1 for her b'day hamper) the fizzers were £1.50 each on clearance from valentines day.

I had to pick up a couple of bits in Boots, but used advantage card points - so no out of pocket cost.

We were also gifted a bottle of gin and some gin flavourings by a family member and a book to read.

Managed to do another typing job today - I was a bit slower as DD's were interrupting, but got there in the end. I have set myself a target to work towards in terms of earnings and have until Saturday to meet or exceed it :o

    Have a great week!

    Good Morning x

This week has gone completely awry. I started the week with what I thought was a cold/flu and ended up collapsing on Tuesday being taken into hospital. After tests, I was diagnosed with pneumonia, so I had an overnight stay in hospital, but was thankfully let home the next day after a course of IV antibiotics, to continue medication at home.

OH has been fantastic, as have his employers by letting him work from home until I could get home and pick up some form of 'mum' duties again.

Needless to say, the week has been full of NSD's (a bit of an extreme way to go about it)

I did spend £21 yesterday, buying some flowers/gifts for the people who stepped in and helped us take care of DD's. They weren't big presents, but it's important to thank people.

I have only earned the money for work that I had done last weekend, so have had to rejig my targets to try and stay in track with my March financial targets.

A fairly frugal couple of days, yesterday we met up with family to celebrate someone's birthday. We ate before we went out so that we could avoid buying food there/stopping off on the way home. So we just had a couple of drinks each, which OH paid for from his entertainment budget.

Today has been an NSD, we have eaten from what we have and I am currently proving some bread dough to make bread rolls to go with soup for tomorrow's tea.

I'm also trying my hand at a sour dough starter - how this will end, who knows, but it's worth a bash for a cup of flour and a cup of water.

Managed some typing work this morning and will see what's available tonight in the way of typing/surveys etc.

Thanks greent, i'm feeling much better.

I'm getting back into the swing of things at home now. Today I have made some cake, as we do like a cake/biscuit in this house :D

I have also hit the £8 payout on Research opinions and have requested a paypal payout (more like £7.84 once they have knocked their admin fee off). :money:

I have bought two xmas presents and OH's fathers day present in the M&S sale. Both DD's have had some PJ's in future sizes, and OH will be getting a new dressing gown. All of these were on the list, so I took the opportunity to save some pennies on stuff I would have bought later in the year anyway. Plus I used a double points voucher for the M&S CC (I have already moved the money from savings to CC, just wanted the points), plus I had a £5 M&S voucher from SB, which also lowered the cost :money:

My birthday/xmas stash is growing - one person has been completely finished for xmas ;), and so far, I haven't paid full price for anything.

I managed to pick up another typing job last night, but none so far today as DD2 is at that stage where you have to have eyes in the back of your head and doesn't want to take a nap. I will check out what's available this evening and try to get some more money in the pot.

The shopping has been done from a meal plan which covers the next two weeks. I used one of the £5 off a £50 spend vouchers, plus on the tesco website, they are giving away two free (individual size) Cadbury cheesecakes (which then happened to 'fall' into my online trolley :rotfl:), but for the life of me I can't find the code again. So for anyone using the tesco website, keep your eyes peeled :D

Yesterday was an LSD, as I needed washing up liquid.

I had a fairly productive day yesterday, I took 2 bags of stuff to the charity shop (I had tried to sell most of it previously, with no takers), which freed up some space.

I managed two typing jobs, which meant I hit the monetary target I set for myself this week. I am now starting to work on the target I have set for next week to get ahead of the game.

£7.84 received from survey site and put into savings (I am currently working on saving up for an insurance policy renewing in 2020).

I was also offered a theatre ticket (free) as a family member can't go. I did offer the money, but they refused it. Will buy them a nice bottle of something to thank them :money:

MIL also found a lovely Ted Baker snowsuit in the charity shop for £4, this will see DD2 through to the warmer months, so will need to pay her for this at the weekend.

Today I need to collect my Tesco order and will pop to the local Boots to see if they have anything I can add to DD1 birthday hamper (using points, so no out of pocket spends).

All in all, a good start to the week :T

    Happy Friday!

This week is going well so far, i've been pretty exhausted come the evenings, but i'm just putting that down to being ill last week and my body catching up.

I picked up the Tesco order yesterday, which should cover us for two weeks (provided no-one goes off piste with the meal plan). The free cheesecakes tasted extra yummy, you know, with being free and all :rotfl:

I picked up some bits for DD1 birthday hamper with Boots points, as planned.

I did go off plan with a couple of purchases though - why do you always see things when you're trying to stick to budget???? I picked up a half price baby outfit for a baby due in the summer, this was covered by the birthday savings pot.

And I have also had to replace two pairs of DD2 leggings, as somehow, I have managed to get bleach on the existing two (£5 spent from family allowance).

Oh, and I also needed a petrol top up, that wasn;t in the budget, as I have been using the car more for short journeys while I recover from pneumonia. I am currently £25.45 over budget for groceries (which includes petrol spends), and will need to earn this extra money to bring me back in line with where I should be

I met a friend today and she treated me to lunch as a belated birthday pressie, which was lovely, as we haven't had a good catch up for ages.

Two typing jobs done earlier today, so moving in the right direction earnings wise.

  • Good Morning.

The weekend was very low spend - a total of around £10.

The weekend was spent visiting relatives or at home. I was out on Saturday with the free theatre ticket I had been gifted by a relative, I paid for our drinks (£4) and other than that, didn't spend anything. I had offered to drive and pay for parking as my way of contributing to the evening, but someone else in the group also had the same idea.

OH and the DD's had a night in, so they had some treats and I made HM pizzas before I went out (as I had overheard the mention of Domino's being bought ). DD1 said she preferred the homemade pizza over the takeaway so that was a result!

I was also gifted some sewing material over the weekend too. I'm incredibly grateful for all of these opportunities/gifts that are coming our way at the minute.

    So the aims for the week ahead;

    1. Stick to meal plan (I do need to replace a couple of things that vanished into OH mouth :o). Keeps him out of trouble I suppose :rotfl:

    2. Work towards the monetary goal I have set for this week in terms of earnings.

    3. Explore more ways of creating income. I have just found some new ideas on Earthgirls latest YouTube video that i'll be exploring :T Thanks EG! :T

I hope everyone has a great week x
