NSD Achieved today. Target of NSDs Between now and next Sunday is 5/10.

Now at 1/10. Tomorrow will see some planned spends and a trip to the bank to cash in the £16 from the mortgage piggy.

Other than that, it will be a day of washing, ironing and rustling up some ebayable items.

    Enjoy the bank holiday weekend.

Planned spends for today were under budget and the 0.96 under-spend was sent to the mortgage.

As I had cross checked my shopping list with Quidco Clicksnap (and substituted a couple of items for brands of a similar price), I have now put in a claim for £5.19 cashback. Receipts were also uploaded to Receipt Hog.

I have also been washing some items to be put onto Ebay. The items are still drying, but I think I will have approx 6-7 lots in total. Photographing and Uploading will be on the list for tomorrows jobs.

Off to check for surveys whilst the dinner is cooking.

    Onwards and downwards x

NSD 2/10 achieved as I was at work.

75% of the house was given a good spring clean yesterday and I am now going to have a quiet evening.

Ebay listings have been pushed back to later in the week as frankly I don't have the energy this evening.

I hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday.

Yesterday was another NSD - 3rd in a row. I have been leaving my purse at home to avoid temptation (including the snack box at work).

I have been motivated to hit the £300 overpayment target that I set for May and am surprised at how I have pushed myself to make inroads into it.

When I ran the budget in the last week of April, I anticipated a max OP of £90.03, but I am now heading for the £250 mark! This is just by shaving back the budget; focusing on needs, not wants; using cash and meal planning.

I am enjoying the challenge at the minute - but there is still a lot of month left, so I really need to find ways to stay motivated.

Off to check OnePoll - I am currently at £37.30 and the dashboard has become eerily quiet with not a single survey for days.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Good Evening.

Not much to report here, we have just been getting on with things. Both new carpets have been laid this week and look lovely.

MFW activities have been ongoing and I now have £58.82 of my £300 OP target left to find. I have a couple of bits pending and if the payments come through, I will only need to find £46.35.

OnePoll is now up to £37.95, so I will keep plugging away with that and I MUST get the ebay items listed tomorrow to keep moving towards my target. I have been keeping track of where I have generated OP's from to keep me motivated.

LO has a birthday party tomorrow and I will need to get some petrol and food shopping for the week ahead.

    Hi,

Just popping in after a short absence. Finances have been a little lax the past couple of weeks due to working extra hours and after spending two weeks running on about 2-3 hours sleep a night; I now have plurisy :o

Today I will sit down and balance the books ready for payday on Friday.

The one *doh* moment of the month was when a household accident cost me £500 from my emergency fund to fix.

But, I'm gonna put on my big girl pants and suck it up.

Hope everyone is doing ok x x

Thanks for dropping by Miss Money Magnet, its nice to have some company on this journey x x x

A new financial month has begun in the NHS household and £256.35 has been sent towards replenishing the emergency fund. Father's Day and a spends for our self catering holibobs to Wales have been added for this month.

I had also budgeted for some prescription sunglasses - I broke my last pair last year and have really dragged out replacing them.

Spec savers sent me a money off deal for new glasses (contact lens scheme customer), so I got my £20 eye test for free and the £140 sunglasses (including lenses) were reduced to £70. I am looking a them lasting me at least 2 years or more - providing my prescription doesn't change at my next appointment.

1 more week until holiday - cannot wait! Just need to shift this pleurisy and I will be grand.

Hope everyone has a great bank holiday

    Good morning.

I'm on count down to my holiday (T minus 48 hours), as we need some family time to recharge :j

Plodding along on the money front. I have balanced the books and have identified a couple of overspends that have crept in so far. Nothing major, but the common factor is that I was frustrated/distracted when I made the purchases.

Working today (OT) and then LO has a friends party this afternoon.

Up to £39.90 on Onepoll, so just need to keep checking in for another survey to tip me over the £40 mark.

    Have a great weekend x

    Good Morning!

Currently on holiday, which despite the rain, is great. £200 withdrawn for our holiday (this included a £70 spend on food shopping as we are self catering).

There are lots of free entry play areas and a huge swimming baths on site, so we will be making use of these. A quick trip to the beach is planned for tomorrow as there may be a break in the rain.

We have booked LO into a paid activity this afternoon (treasure hunt) £7.50 for an hour or so. This should keep her entertained with the weather.

In other news, onepoll is still at £39.90 with no surveys at all coming in. With a huge amount of stuff going on at work, I ended up cancelling my holiday on Friday and then working OT on Saturday, not ideal, but it's more money in the pot :T

    Have a great day everyone!
