I think everyone has already given great advice, just wanted to say good luck. I'm trying to eat healthier at the moment and also if I lose weight that would be nice too. One piece of advice I can give is to try doing some stretching at home in the morning and evening...really helps to lengthen those muscles and is a great way of getting yourself going and easing yourself into relaxation depending on the time of day. The other thing I do is get off a few stops early on the bus/tube when I'm going out, as I don't always have time to do anything else, so at least I know I've done a little something.

One cheap way to record your weight loss is to keep adding paper clips to a chain - one for every pound lost - and then pin it up by your PC or somewhere you see it often. Useful if you're not keen on broadcasting your weight to the world, or even the fact that you're on a diet. Everyone else sees a few handy paperclips, while you see a growing source of pride and motivation :)

What a great idea. I love it.......!

I have been back on the SW wagon for a few weeks and have been recording my loss on a graph in excel. I just like to see the line going down.

To save cash, I am following SW with a friend and we 'declare' our losses to each other weekly and we enter them on to our copies of the graph. Just knowing I have to send the email to her each week concentrates the mind.;)

    7.5lb after two weeks. :T
  • Hi everyone. We have had a lot of interest in healthy eating and weight loss recently and there are just too many threads popping up. The board guides have decided that the fairest way to do this is to have one thread which should keep all the weight loss discussion together.

Because of that, I'm going to close the other threads on this subject and ask that people please join the new thread rather than try to pick one and close the others.

Here it is. Please join in and good luck. Here it is.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
