I'll join Narc0 in scampering. though in my case it may be more of a hobble - we went to Herr A yesterday, as usual I had a basket on my lap (easier than a trolley for Mr LW to steer my wheelchair) and I'm afraid Mr LW rather overloaded me, and the weight of the stuff has hurt my bad knee.

No matter - kitchen today, hmm? Right, I'll supervise (to ensure the job is done properly) and Mr LW can move everything off the surfaces and give it a good going over with anti-bacterial stuff. ;) 'Twill be his penance. :D

I already made him thoroughly dust the lounge - including the barley-sugar legs on the computer table, and the dark recesses of the open-front cupboard housing the $ky box and other electrical doodads. :D

Serve him right for plonking a load of wine in the basket, when I'd already said I couldn't take any more weight on my legs.

  • Hi all. I'm back for a second week running, so that's promising :) We had a manic weekend so very little flying done, although did get a load of washing done and hung on the airer last night.

Working late tonight and DH is away which means I have extra to do and even less time, but will get some parts of the lists done! The oven is on my list but certainly won't have time to do it today, hopefully later in the week! I've deleted anything that I don't need to do.

Thanks for the list (even though it's a long one!)

Large pile of hankies and tea cloths ironed. I took pity on Mr LW and did them myself - he did have to lift the ironing board out and put it away afterwards though, as it's too heavy for me to lift.

He's no need to feel hard done by though, it's one of his favourite meals on the meal plan for tonight - Qu0rn fillets in HM white wine sauce with jacket spuds.

  • Hiya everyone and welcome.

Goodness me, I thought I was unpacking boxes.... I was putting a TV on the wall... A TV with the wrong size brackety things on them. Thanks dad! Got it up. Then it was "where does this plug in.... "In to the adapter in your hand dad." I swear he then said "I didn't know it had an adapter." It was literally in his hand. Then he insisted the hole I suggested plugging it into was a screw hole. 20 minutes later... You guessed it! Then he wrote their internet password in lower case and so it said it was wrong when I put it in.... Then the TV said it couldn't get a signal. At which point I left to pick my son up from school just as my parents started arguing.

Anyway, washed up, tidied and cleaned table and worktops and from of all appliances and the cooker. Swept the floor and took down a set of washing from the airer so I might get another set on tomorrow after work. Not all the list but it's looking straight

I'm in and hurrah, no oven to clean. One benefit to squatting on our first floor. Downside? Dusty and crowded with all 6 people, the dogs and new moggies.

I am sure this time next year, it will all be a distant unpleasant memory...

Well done everyone who cleared that list! I managed little more than a swish and swipe around the kitchen in the end. Need to get myself moving in the morning tomorrow
