Hello,

I have had a parking permit from ACE security for one of the sites, its a resident permit, and as the car registration number was missing, they suddenly slapped me with a parking ticket. The parking permit itself only has a empty space called "reg no.", when I called their office they said, I received the notices as my car registration number is not properly displayed on it and needs to be writte in, I have been using this permit for the last 11 months, and suddenly received this for the first time! There is no proper signage on the permit, or in the parking lot. I have appealed my ticket.

I have tried to enclose the signs but i am unable to provide picture links as first time user.

use tinypic or photobucket for pictures , use a dead url for the link , changing http to hxxp

also check your written tenancy agreement or parking agreement , see what it says about your actual rights and responsibilities to park there

Sure i will check the agreement now, however from what I remember there was nothing written on it apart from parking spaces being available.

apologies for the small pictures, the second and bigger pictures link was just below it.
I checked the tenancy agreement, it doesn't mention anything about needing registration number on the parking permit, only mentions something along the lines of no obstruction and no repairing within the property etc and so on.

I have appealed with the donotpay website info.

I received the following email today.

Unfortunately, we are unable to process your email as an appeal without all the terms on the back of the Charge Notice. In order to proceed we will require your full address.

If we do not receive this information within 7 days, your email will be disregarded for failing to comply with our terms and conditions of appeal.

ACE is an IPC member

Pace Recovery & Storage Ltd (Trading as Ace Security Services)

so any appeals should not name the driver and be sent in around day 19 after the parking event, AS KEEPER , with address of the keeper, or a serviceable address instead (if you dont want them getting your actual address)

They do need keeper name and address details in an appeal.

I'm not familiar with the donotpay jobby (unless you mean the dreadful "official" "I admit I was driving" MSE template) so I hope it doesn't give away the driver's details. Please post it here for us to look at.

is there text on the back stating that you have to hand write your VRN on the permit?

No it does not state any such thing on the back of the permit, it does not state that the car registration needs to be on the parking permit, there is only "registration no." at the front but it does not say "car registration number" which is misleading. "registration no" could be interpreted as anything.

The issue will turn on the contents of your lease/rental agreement.
