  • COXY just wanted to wish you all the best for tomorrow but ouch to the cost of your monthly train ticket.

SNOOZER hope you can soon get rid of the worry that's causing you such distress.

It's been quite a nice day here (for November) so I washed two rain jackets this morning and pegged them out in the sunshine. The thinner of the two has actually dried but the fleece lined one is still damp and finishing off hung over the airing cupboard door.

I am normally quite organised with my Xmas present shopping but, for some reason, I am behind myself this year and can't seem to summon up any enthusiasm to resume, after my early start in the January sales! I really must give myself a kick up the ar*e this week and put my mind to some serious shopping. Internet shopping is sounding the better option at the moment as I hate traipsing aimlessly round the shops!

Have a nice evening folks if you can. xx

It was about Mary Ann Cotton who was hanged at Durham Gaol after she killed at least 21 people including her mother, 3 husbands and 8 of her own children

(((Snoozer))) I hope you are fine and please feel free to share if and when you are ready, we are here for you. xx

Lovely sunshiny day today, we had a beautiful and very moving Remembrance service at our church. Then dashed to the Farmers market to stock up on organic veg and fruit, sorted for the week.

The church social committee had booked a Turkish restaurant for all the congregation to go after the service so we went. This was not very nice, the food was mediocre or worse, but the people we were with were friends which went a long way towards making it better. I have ranted about the restaurant in the GC challenge thread so won't go on about it here.

Home now with a nice cup of tea and tonight I have two free (apart for booking fee) tickets for a dance show in central London, I hope it will be fun.

My hand is still swollen from the insect bite but not getting worse so I hope to be able to move it better in the next few days.

No cooking as stuffed by the yucky Turkish food. Might have a fruit and some nuts on my return.

    Have a good evening.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • Evening chums ,had a lovely dinner at Dds tonight Roast lamb and all the trimmings, and have come home with enough left over veg and meat for at least two meals this week.
Last weekssunday night left overs turned into a roast dinner on Monday night and two portions of cottage pie for the freezer :) Possibly do the same with this weeks left overs as well if I streetch the left over meat a bit. definitely NSDs for me this week.

    Cheers chums
