So the wheels will fit my car if I get the same tyre size ?????
Nah, the PCD is the important part as to whether the wheel will physically fit onto your hubs. No idea what you drive so look up your car on http://www.retro-rides.com/wheels.asp . Sometimes the PCD is stamped into the back of the rim somewhere aswell.
"you can get new tyres fitted for £35-40 while breakers are charging £20-25"
IMO new tyres for that kinda price are gonna be more of a budget option. There might be some part worn top of the range michelins sat down at the local breakers. Oh and maybe it's different with you but up here the scrappy sells the wheels & tyres for a fiver each, they'd normally have to pay to dispose of them.0 -
In true MSE, get a price from mytyres, look at the fitting station option then go to that tyre shop and ask them for there best price .. If they can do it for X through mytyres they can do it for less ;-) on another note I recommend federals especialy if you have alloys as they have "Rim protection"
but makes sure you get a high speed raring federal tyre as i replaced all four pirellis with feds (with rim protection, that looks great aswell) and they were great held the road and lasted just as long as the pirellis but then i wanted to replace the fronts the following year and they put on a lower speed rating without the rim protection and the car slides all over the road.and this is on a focus which is one of the best handling cars on the road....work permit granted!0
