Rogue landlord

Even I'd be wary of signing a tenancy agreement that stated "no alcohol" and I don't drink the stuff! I have a bottle of brandy for the Christmas cake, lasts me several years so I always have some around. Really, really sounds amateur - they haven't a hope of knowing, let alone enforcing it... I wonder if they intend it to include alcohol wipes or meths fuel - both staples of my camping kit...0

That's for an American toilet
After my utube problem I just did a quick 'bing' (don't use google) and didn't check properly. Oops.I think some channels on YouTube are now charging you to watch them. I think it's called YouTube Red or something which sounds a bit risqu! to me.

Thought I would post an update, my laptop died so couldn't update before. Thanks for all the replies. I took the letter demanding the insurance payment to the letting agent. He said it was not my responsibility to pay buildings insurance and would speak to the landlord. I told the agent about the allocated parking space I am supposed to have but couldn't get into and he has sorted that out with the landlord too. I've seen the landlord and he was very helpful with the parking space and didn't mention the insurance. The neighbouring businesses also get the same bills every year but they ignore them and he never follows them up!
The loo seems to have fixed itself which is a relief :j0 -

Glad it's been sorted!
Out of curiosity, you say the businesses get the same letters: Do they come from the LL directly, or from the insurer? I'm just wondering if the LL has mistakenly put the insurable addresses down as the correspondence addresses (although if so I don't understand why he hasn't fixed it by now).0 -
You must be feeling flushed with success after your fight with the LL !0

They are hand written from the landlord. Just saying
(address of property)
"£125.00 for buildings insurance for 2016-2017 payable direct to the landlord "
He is very old and seems to be trying to make a few quid!0
