Not if you need to remove the cistern to be able to do so. ;)

OK, 20 minutes if you need to remove the cistern (assuming standard toilet).

on a tangent, what's with utube? I tried to link to a utube video on fixing ballcocks and got a google message saying I have to sign up to .... god knows what..... before I can view it.

I suspect they want to know all my bank log-ins but I'm not sure.

I think some channels on YouTube are now charging you to watch them. I think it's called YouTube Red or something which sounds a bit risqu! to me.

Non payment of rent is not acceptable.
No children, pets, parties, drugs or alcohol allowed on the premises at any time.
Any disputes 3 months notice by either party.
They assured me that I would be ok having my grandkids over and a tipple now and again ;). There had been some young men in here previously who came with glowing references but had loud parties and lots of people in and out who were drunk or high which upset the businesses, 2 salons and a high class wine store.

The place was a mess, and the rent is cheap. Its a good location for me and I could see past the mess. :

One should always consider before renting in Mosul.

And my 12 year old could have written better clauses....

Unfair terms and conditions come to mind.
If the tenancy agreement is this badly worded then any solicitor/CAB could pull it apart.
Have you got a 6 months tenancy agreement ?

Blimey, no alcohol allowed on the premises at any time - and you signed this lease?!!!!!

Please check the link I gave you. If he is using a contract like this then it is very likely that he has no clue about his responsibilities.

How was an agent involved? What did they do?
and pure torture living above a high end wine store.

No alcohol? That's a contravention of human rights! (Or something.)

That's for an American toilet :(
  • What an odd contract. Hope the no drugs part does not extend to antibiotics or paracetamol etc.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Caffeine is defined as a drug because it stimulates the central nervous system, causing increased alertness. Caffeine gives most people a temporary energy boost and elevates mood. Caffeine is in tea, coffee, chocolate, many soft drinks, and pain relievers and other over-the-counter medications.
 that's enough to make me :wall:
