Talk talk home move

I have been on the phone to talk talk in regards to a home move to my new house. They said that they would transfer it over for free but they would put me on a 18 month contract and I would have to pay £7 more as that was the only contract available. My contract before was 12 months and finishes in June. Now I could be forever tied with talk talk as my job requires me to move around the country if need be. Is the only way to get out of it to pay £109 to get out of the contract?

You entered into a contract for them to provide a service at your existing address for a fixed term.
It is you who are saying you can no longer fulfil the terms.
Prices have increased since you entered into the contract.
It is your choice : Break the contract by paying the exit fee and be free to sign with A N Other at the new address, or take a new contract with TT on today's terms at the new address.
You should be able to recover the TT exit fee from reduced monthly fees with a new provider who offers a reduction in the early stages of the contract or with a hefty cash back deal. However, after the honeymoon period, their prices will be on a par with TT for a like for like service.

TalkTalk are acting within their rights. Suggest to them that you realise you can fund their exit fee from special opening deals elsewhere and see if they will give you a better deal than offered so far
