Credit Report: Deleting 15 year old dormant mobile account

My credit report has a contract from EE(Orange) listed that was created in 1999 and was probably terminated somewhere around 2001. It is connected to an old address. I don't have any details - account number, phone number etc.
It shows an impeccable credit history - every month shows "account payments up to date". So from that perspective its not an issue showing on my credit file. It might be an issue being the wrong address.
I have tried to deal with it before - both through the credit reference agency and through EE. Neither were interested, and EE wouldn't/couldn't deal with it because I couldn't give them any account details. In the end I gave up, figuring it wasn't doing much harm.
How concerned should I be about it (i.e. how much time and effort is it worth putting in to get it sorted) and any thoughts on how I can deal with it? Just persevere with EE(Orange)?

Here's some info for you from experian website, even with this info I would of thought this account would be gone by now!
Contrary to popular reports, you don’t lose the positive credit history when you close an account. A credit report serves as a record of your account history, so closing an account does not cause the account to be deleted immediately.
Experian retains closed accounts with no negative information associated with them for 10 years from the date they are reported closed. As a result, positive credit information remains on your credit report longer than most negative information, such as late payments. Retaining the positive history longer helps you rebuild your credit history if you have had financial challenges.
And, the length of your history is considered in scoring models. The longer you have demonstrated that you can manage credit, the more positive points for your scores. You don’t really want those accounts to go away.
Experian will remove the closed accounts automatically at the end of the 10 year retention period.0 -
This is what it looks like on Noddle0

Are you subscribed to Equifax or Experian?
Just saw this on the equifax website:
Accounts in good standing: Credit accounts that are closed but were paid as agreed, will normally remain on your credit report for up to 10 years from the date of last activity. Positive information on open accounts in good standing, however, can stay on your credit report forever0 -

Looks like it's still being reported as an open account.
