I have a rad in my kitchen & I like it on.
I want the butter that's been messed about with to make it spreadable.
Yes, I've had that one & the M&S one that's they same.
They aren't really spreadable though.
What a brilliant website, love the Thug Cookbook and several of the mugs
I wouldn't like that, it would melt it where it touched it & make it oily.
I don't really like room temp butter, I like it from the fridge, but you can't spread any butter from the fridge.
I have a very warm kitchen/combined living room. I take my butter out of the fridge a short time before I want to use it. If there is any left over I pop it back into the fridge. It tastes like butter from the fridge if it is not left out too long, but long enough to be able to spread it.
My butter of choice is Netherend farmhouse salted butter and it is in a round packet so I just slice a small circle off it. I buy cheaper butter for cooking.

Butter can only be spread at room temperature, hence the need for a proper butter dish. True butter was never meant to be kept in a fridge. It was always kept in the larder, along with daily milk, cream and cheese deliveries.

It stops it melting during the summer but also keeps it spreadable during winter. My house is never heated above 18C year round.
I like my house very warm, hence why I can't leave butter out.
we have suggested butter dishes, we have suggested only small amounts of butter in the dish, we have suggested warming butter knives and butters mixed with oils
Now you tell us you live in a hot house where all butter will melt
