I have 2 Magimix's a 5200xl and a La Mini plus. They've done everything I've wanted and needed to do in an efficient and reliable way so Magimix gets my vote and recommendation.

What are you looking to use it for and how many people do you need to cater for?
  • I have an older version of this one, got it on offer in Cur*ys and it's done everything I've wanted it to so far :)

I got a Magimix 2100 for my 19th birthday. I still use it regularly and I will be 50 this year. The handle broke off the plastic bowl last year (plastic fatigue!) but the rest of it still works fine. If it ever dies I will not hesitate to buy another Magimix.

I suppose I should have said that it only needs to be a small gadget as there are only two of us - my Mum had a Magimix - I was wondering how 'mini' the mini-processors are? I'm only asking as I keep finding that more + more recipes seem to feature them - plus we use a huge amount of veg - so one might be useful for shredding and so on.

The Mini Plus sits on my kitchen counter and I use it for chopping herbs and small amount of shredding and sauce making when I can't be bothered to get the 5200 out of the cupboard. It WOULDN'T be suitable as a sole food processor for 2.

Magimix 5200 here for 3 of us and I use it near on daily

It has a tiny footprint so sits on the counter, the toaster takes more room

Having it on the counter means you use it

Well worth the money. A proper work horse
  • I treated myself to a Cuisinart about 15 years ago. It works beautifully. Now, a few bits of plastic were starting to wear out (one of the lugs on the bowl and the handle was cracked.) I contacted them and asked if I could buy replacement parts - amazingly they said, 'we give this product a lifetime guarantee so we'll send you what you need FOC. And if you need replacements in the future, just get in touch.'
