IKEA nursery furniture, now or wait?

Hi all,


We are going to be having our first child in March and want everything to be ready in the nursery well in advance (I've heard these little kid things are quite time demanding). The nursery furniture we like is from IKEA and I wondered if anyone has any experience of whether it would be in the December sales? If not then I'll get it now as it isn't too expensive but always like to save if I can.

I bought my son's cot from Ikea although it was full price (still cheap though!).

Why don't you hold off until December, if the furniture is on sale you'll get yourself a bargain and if not you'll still have bought it in advance.

You should totally wait and get a great sales price since your baby is not due until March. There's nothing like a great bargain! And congratulations!

Seriously think about getting specific nursery furniture though. Before you know it they will need full size drawers and wardrobes etc.... I speak from experience!!! Get normal furniture that will last a lot longer than specific nursery stuff.
