in Credit cards
Hi all, have done the whole credit check thing and have been given a choice of 0% balance transfer cards ..the best deal for me is with mbna (have the pre acceptance offer)....however I currently have an MBNA credit card so won't they decline me as I am already with them ? The other offer has high fee but is better option than paying the interest

Your thread is called money transfer issues and then you talk about balance transfers - what are you actually trying to do?
you probably can't have 2 MBNA cards - you certainly cannot balance transfer from 1 to another. You could apply for an MBNA money transfer card put the money in your current account and then use it to pay off the first MBNA card but it would incur MT feesI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

You are most definitely allowed 2 MBNA cards, in fact when I spoke to them recently they said there was no cap as such to how many cards you could hold with them, it all depended on your customer profile.
They are one of the only providers out there at the moment who allow you to hold several cards (not just 2) with them and you are also allowed to split your limit across cards.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I have 5 MBNA card accounts active, 4 visa and I Amex. I used the visa cards for BT's or MT's and the Amex for everyday expenditure.0
