Been off work sick nearly a year and resigning - a good idea?

Hi all After being ill nearly a year I have decided to resign from my job. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do! But was it the right thing to do? Can I get ESA still tho and also do I get my holiday that i have not taken yet? im worried now.... :/ Any advice will be very appreciated. thanks in advance :)

Its two years that employees are not entitled to claim for unfair dismissal unless it meets one of the protected "traits". E.g. race, age etc...
