Forgot Mum's Disabled Permit at Brent Cross

I took my disabled mother to Brent Cross shopping centre. We forgot her permit, left a note on dashboard but received a UKPC Parking Charge Notice for parking in a disabled bay. She is in a wheelchair and does have a permit. Can I appeal against the charge? Many thanks

return to the centre , with your mother in chair , speak to the MANAGER , not customer services ask nicely for him to contact UKPC and get it cancelled , if no, KICK UP FUSSSave a Rachael

also use the BPA blue text appeal around day 25 , as keeper, and attach a copy of the BB as evidence as the holder is entitled to use that bay under the EA2010 , BB or no BB0

Of course but you should be complaining. Come on, don't be a victim, this isn't a real fine but it IS a threat to the registered keeper. You left a note on the dashboard (on private land that has just as good a meaning as a Council Blue Badge would have- i.e. it communicates the need) and the passenger IS disabled. And the UKPC employee KNEW about the disability from the note and could also have reasonably looked out to see the passenger if unsure.
UKPC are trying to breach the Equality Act 2010. Get angry if the retail Store Manager will not cancel this. If he/she can't, then ask for the landowner/managing agents' email or phone number to complain to them.
You have presumably already read 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' as everyone should have done before posting(!) so you know how and when to actually appeal (registered keeper's name, not driver) to get a POPLA code.
Add a scan of the Blue Badge to the first appeal without saying who was driving - but UKPC won't cancel it unless told to by the landowner/retailer, or POPLA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As advised, after you have complained to the manager of the retail park, also send the BPA template in blue that you will find in the Sticky thread for NEWBIES just before the appeal deadline.
Copy and paste and send. Do not edit it.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
You can make a complaint of Disability Discrimination under the Equality Act 2010 to the BPA in that UKPC, being aware that a driver/passenger was in the vehicle, failed to make reasonable provisions to acknowledge the protected provisions of the disabled person under the Act.
Copy it to the the EASC

that should give them something to think about. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
