I didn't know that : which towns are they ?

A few council car parks in Chester are free after 15:00.

I think the bus pass thing is a red herring actually simply because most boomers are not yet retired so the people with the bus passes are mostly older than the boomers. Also bus passes are paid for out of council tax and everyone pays council tax including the people who get the bus passes.

The pensioners who are riding on buses are not contributing as much to the emissions as young people driving round in large cars. Who needs a landrover 4x4 in London?

4x4s are very useful in the parts of socialist London with aggressive speed humps every few yards
and my london friends do occasionally leave the safety of London; none of them have town and country cars

    Indeed.

I think it's high time we nailed this down. Based on the reference provided previously, Boomers are presently aged between 52 and 70. Therefore the vast majority of pensioners that are being traduced on the forum are not Boomers.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-32126518 For Rugged's information he/she is looking in the wrong place. Pensioners don't do this. This is just young people. However pensioners who pay tax are all contributing towards paying for this.

Yeah, alcoholism certainly isn't a problem among older people. I should know as I live in a village that is 50% wealthy retirees.

Apart from the elderly drivers who have hit people and things in my street and then been half unable to stand when helped from their car, at 10 in the morning.

Or the utter chaos in the Waitrose car park.

    Actually, keep the bus pass.

Is there a clue in there as to why you are so bitter?

Wait until all the young binge drinkers get cars. You will have no hope then. Lots of 4x4s all being driven round by drunk young people. Hospitals full of young people with alcohol related illnesses and on top of that more retired people.

I'd be bitter if I worked in the Waitrose car park.
