BA flights to Tallinn Estonia

Hello,

I have bought 4 tickets for my family to travel from London Heathrow to Tallinn, Estonia with British Airways in summer 2017. Tallinn is one of the new routes recently announced by BA. I have booked the tickets via Lastminute.com and, using the PNR, the ticket is found on the BA system as normal.

However there are a number of problems I could see with my tickets and with this new route:
- If trying to book this route on the BA website, the Economy Basic (Hand Luggage only) option does not come up, only Economy or Business
- The travel class on my tickets is shown as World Traveller (not Euro traveller??)
- The number of Avios for this booking are shown as zero (and if I try to check how many Avios I should collect, using the Avios flight calculator, it says "Sorry, we can't find any information for this route and airline combination"
- My tickets bought via Lastminute.com do not include checked baggage, and if I try to add one piece of checked baggage on the BA website, the price is £60 per flight (£120 return). Shouldn't the price be £30 per flight (£60 return)? Further proof that it is likely to be a mistake is that if I try to add TWO pieces of checked baggage, the price is still £60 per flight (£120 return), i.e. the same as for one piece of checked baggage

Has anyone had any of these problems with BA? I tried phoning customer services regarding the issue with the checked baggage, but they could not be more unhelpful.

Could it be that the route has been set up wrongly? Any advice re how to check/report this?

Thank you

It's a new route. I don't think it's started yet. That would explain why it doesn't appear in the online/points calculator.

Is booking at lastminute.com any better than at ba.com?

Also, I've just made a dummy booking and the flights show as Euro Traveller.

I didn't see a HBO option. Perhaps the fare is not ready?

The price was much cheaper on Lastminute.com as the price there is for HBO. However when then looking at the booking on the BA system using the PNR provided by Lastminute.com, there's a bunch of wrong settings as I have explained. I have spent hours on the phone with BA customer services, who have not got a clue what's going on. At some point they were trying to convince me that the baggage issue must be due to a BOGOF offer on this route! Yeah, right!

Yes with a dummy booking the flights are shown as Euro Traveller, but on my booking confirmation they are definitely shown as World Traveller.

If the fare is not ready, or it is not fully set up properly, why sell it allowing people to make bookings which are rife with problems that then they can't even solve?

BA are a bit of a shambles of an organisation. That's why.

I booked flights to Tallinn for the spring but going via Helsinki in business (return) for £233.00 - economy is showing as £107 (from LHR)

Those prices are also available for summer which if you are after tier points, this routing is quite handy - with the options of travelling with Finnair as opposed to BA.

As you have correctly pointed out, the direct service doesn't appear to have been loaded....which is hardly surprising at it is BA we are discussing here.

The direct service has been loaded, i.e. you can find and purchase the direct flights (these are only available on Tue and Sat). The problem seesm to be that once one has purchased the direct flights, then a lot of problems emerge with the settings and information that should be associated with the booking.
