Not sure whether there is a link with TV Guard in Bournemouth but Mother in law has fallen for this one. Insuring a TV she does not have for £5 a month by direct debit. Trying to stop this one before it starts.

They aren't linked, but are linked to this address-a previous thread on mse

Their service at TV Guard is questionable.
My father has paid for insurance from them, but when he rang he was told the service doesn't cover screen faults as specified in the general exclusions. My father asked exactly which exclusion they were referring to and the response was; it's in there somewhere, I know we've had somebody before that couldn't make a claim for that problem.
So no idea if they ever do actually pay out to anybody.
I emailed them on behalf of my father and pointed out that lines across the screen were hardware failure, not simply a few dead pixels - no response as yet!
I think my next step might need to be Bournemouth Trading Standards.
TV Guard? Be very aware of this company!

Seems strange that so many companies Like TV Guard in Bournemouth all seem to be linked to criminal activity. Surely the police could appoint aa full time team to look into it. After all it's not just speeders who break the law. TV Guard must be a crooked site, scamming peoples' money.
