So I live in a flat owed by housing association and have a community dish, sky engineer arrived today but couldn't install sky q because the dish is not equipped for it and they don't own it.
Asked the housing people if they could update it and they said no they have no plans to update it so I pay a service charge for them to maintain it so think they should lol 😂
In the process of getting permission to get my own dish put up by sky but can't see this been approved lol 😂
So just a warning in you have a community dish.
I feel my very sad as missing sky sports lol

Maybe it should have been something to have looked into before arranging the engineer, anyway its in the past.
Theres other options to get Sky sports eg Now TV or BT Sports if you get BT for phone, internet and TV.0 -

My partner recently had a sky q install and because we live in a flat we could not order sky q until the communal system had been upgraded. The whole process took about 3 months as it involves dealings with the managing agents and freeholders of the block of flats but it has now finally been installed. At the moment it seems that there is no 2160p content actually delivered over the satellite as it can only be downloaded so I'm wondering what actual advantage sky q has while broadcast content is still 1080p0

Sky does have UHD channels, has done since 13th August.

Housing associations are worse as if they do 1 they have to do the lot lol 😂 and it's not a priority or in the budget so is annoying lol 😂 if I get permission to install my own dish from sky then happy days don't understand why sky discounted sky+ they could give people a option not force them to have 1 option prob would get more customers0
